One room, shaped around your event
Heyday is one room in Downtown Hollywood that changes character through the day - a coffee bar in the morning, an aperitivo lounge at night, with rotating artwork on the walls. For a private event, you get all of it.
We seat 45 comfortably and hold around 60 standing. Because the layout is intimate and the room works as a whole, we only do full buyouts rather than renting out sections. That's deliberate: a buyout means we can shape the space, the music, the bar and the service around your event instead of working around other guests.
The venue is fully indoors, so nothing depends on the weather. There's also bar seating and a table for four on the sidewalk out front.
Priced per person, known before the night starts
Everything is booked as a per-person package over a three-hour window, so you know the cost before the night starts rather than after it.
Drinks — from $48 per person
Cocktails chosen by you from our menu. Every package includes organic Prosecco, soft drinks and our non-alcoholic cocktails as standard - built with the same care as everything else on the list, not added as an afterthought. Three tiers, from a paced selection through to an open bar with no limits.
Food — from $48 per person
Designed for continuous grazing, replenished through the event: cheeses and cured meats, house-made chicken pâté, hummus with warm pita, gyozas, baked brie, breads and house condiments, depending on the package. Dessert can be added. Food packages are optional — you're welcome to bring in outside catering instead.
Two things are added to the package price: 7% sales tax and an 18% service charge, both calculated on the package itself rather than on each other. There's no minimum spend beyond that, and pricing doesn't change between weekdays and weekends. A few nights we've helped run
A surprise proposal
Disguised as a birthday. Forty-five guests, four hours, one of our drinks packages with food the host brought in. We customised the cocktail names and garnishes for the guest of honour, and helped set up the sound system. Nobody in the room knew about the proposal. She said yes.
A daytime wedding
Forty-five guests. The couple came from two different cultures and wanted the bar to reflect both, so we built a custom cocktail list around it. They booked a DJ from our recommendations and used our food packages.
A triple birthday
Fifty guests. The group spent two hours turning the room into a disco, brought their own DJ who plugged straight into our system, arranged outside catering, and took one of our drinks packages.
We printed custom menus for all three.

For corporate bookings we can provide whatever venue documentation your company requires. Insurance requirements depend on the event and the vendors involved - tell us early and we'll work it out. Payment: all major credit cards, ACH or bank transfer, and Zelle.

Welcome. The one restriction is that our staff can't prepare, plate or serve food from an outside vendor, and the vendor needs to be licensed. We'll gladly help with cleanup afterward.

Common questions
How many people can Heyday hold for a private event?
Forty-five guests seated and around sixty standing comfortably. That's the number we'll commit to, not a fire-code maximum. If your group is larger than that, tell us and we'll be honest about whether the room will work.
Can we rent just part of the space?
No. Heyday does full venue buyouts only. The room is intimate and it works as a whole, so splitting it would compromise both your event and the guests on the other side. A buyout means the space, the music, the bar and the service are all shaped around your group.
Which days can we book?
Any day, Monday through Sunday. We run our own programming on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, and we'll move it for the right private event. Call 754-340-9680 with a date and we'll tell you straight away whether it's open.
How much does a private event cost?

Is there a minimum spend on top of the package?
No. The per-person package is the whole cost, plus 7% sales tax and an 18% service charge. Nothing beyond those is added — no room hire, no minimum bar spend, no setup fee.
How much is the deposit, and what if we cancel?
We take a 50% deposit when the agreement is signed. It isn't refundable, but if you cancel at least 14 days before the date, we'll carry it over to a future booking. Inside 14 days, the deposit stands.
How far in advance should we book?
Most enquiries come in a couple of months out. Last-minute dates are sometimes possible, in which case the full amount is due immediately. It's always worth calling to ask.
What is a low-ABV cocktail?
ABV stands for alcohol by volume. Our cocktails are built on vermouths, aperitivi, sake and amari rather than spirits like vodka or whiskey, so they carry less alcohol while keeping the complexity of a full cocktail. For an event it means guests can drink across a longer evening at a steadier pace.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes, with two conditions: the caterer needs to be licensed, and our staff can't prepare, plate or serve food we didn't make. We'll help with cleanup. Plenty of groups combine outside catering with one of our drinks packages.
What audio and visual equipment is included?
A professional in-house sound system, Shure wireless microphones, a Pioneer DJ setup, a projector and screen, and Wi-Fi. Everything is installed and included in the buyout - you don't need to rent anything or bring your own rig.
Is there outdoor space?
The venue is fully indoors, which means nothing about your event depends on the weather. There's bar seating and a table for four on the sidewalk in front, but the event itself happens inside.
Do you have vegetarian options, and what about allergies?
Yes - the hummus, the vegetable gyozas and the marinated olives are vegetarian, and our grazing packages also include cheeses and breads. There are nuts in our kitchen, so we ask every host about allergies when we finalise the menu. Tell us in advance and we'll work around what we can.
Do you host corporate events?
Yes - corporate evenings, team celebrations and networking events are a regular part of what we do. We can supply venue documentation your company needs, and the projector, screen and microphones are already here.
